C o n t a c t s40■ Voice dialingThe phone voice dialing feature allows hands-free operation while you place acall. Before using this feature, you need to create entries in Contacts so you canassociate a voice tag with a name and number. You can create up to 25 voice tagsin your phone. To create entries in Contacts, see page 38.Before using voice tags, note that:• Voice tags are not language-dependent. They are dependent on thespeaker's voice.• You must say the name exactly as you said it when you recorded it.• Voice tags are sensitive to background noise. Record voice tags and use themin a quiet environment.• Very short names are not accepted. Use long names and avoid similar namesfor different numbers.Note: Using voice tags may be difficult in a noisy environment orduring an emergency, so you should not rely solely upon voicedialling in all circumstances.Add voice tags1. Select Menu > Contacts > Find.2. Scroll to the contact to which you want to assign a voice tag, select Options >Contact details and the phone number you want.3. Select Options > Add voice tag > Start; then speak the name clearly intothe microphone.After recording, the phone plays the recorded tag. When the voice tag has beensuccessfully saved, Voice tag saved is displayed, the icon appears next to thephone number, and a beep sounds with a voice tag.Voice tag options1. Scroll to the contact with the voice tag that you want, select Options and oneof the following:Playback—Allows you to listen to the recorded voice tag.Change—Allows you to change the recorded voice tag.Delete—Allows you to delete the recorded voice tag.
