To send a text message:1 Press Menu 1-1-1 (Menu > Messages > Text messages > Writemessage).2 Enter your message of up to 160 characters and press Options.As you enter your message, a count of the remaining number ofcharacters appears in the top right corner of the screen.If you need to exit while writing the message, press anytime. Toreturn, press Menu 1-1-1 and finish writing the message.3 Scroll to Send (or Save to save the message first) and press OK.4 Enter the phone number of the person you are sending the messageto (or recall it from your list of saved phone numbers) and press OK.Sending message appears.When the message has been successfully sent, Message sent appears.Caution: If you turn off your phone without saving themessage, the message will be lost.• PICTURE MESSAGESYour phone offers nine picture messages that you can use to send picturesand text to your friends and family.Each picture message is made up of several text messages. Therefore,sending one picture message may cost more than sending one textmessage. Contact your service provider for pricing information.Note: You can send and receive pictures only if you and theperson you are sending it to are (a) using the same provider and(b) have the feature activated.
