Voice mail++Voice mail is a network feature that enables those who call you to leavea voice message.Note: You can use voice mail with either one or two phone lines.When you receive a voice message, your phone lets you know by beeping,displaying an icon on the screen, or showing a text message. The methodof notification depends upon your carrier.Additionally, if you receive more than one voice mail message, your phonemay display the number of messages that you have received. Finally, if youhave subscribed to two different phone lines, the message would indicatethe line to which the message was addressed.However, even though your phone notifies you of a message, the voicemail feature is independent of your phone’s software. To use voice mail,you must have:• A voice mail subscription• A voice mailbox number• A temporary passwordThese items are provided by your service provider. Your service providershould also tell you how to record a greeting for your voice mailbox andhow to change the temporary password.After you obtain this information from your service provider, you mustthen save the voice mailbox number to your phone. Refer to “Save thevoice mailbox number” on page 35.After you have saved your voice mailbox number, refer to “Listen to yourvoice messages” on page 35.Note: If you have difficulty using the voice mail feature, contact yourservice provider.
