To listen to new messages or e-mail, in the homescreen, press and hold the left selection key untilMessage reader starts.To listen to a message from your Inbox or e-mail fromyour Mailbox, scroll to the message, and selectOptions > Listen. To stop the reading, press the endkey.To pause and continue the reading, press the scroll key.To skip to the next message, scroll right. To replay thecurrent message or e-mail, scroll left. To skip to theprevious message, scroll left at the beginning of themessage.To view the current message or e-mail in text formatwithout the sound, select Options > View.SpeechSelect Menu > Ctrl. panel > Phone > Speech.With Speech, you can set the language, voice, and voiceproperties for the message reader.To set the language for the message reader, selectLanguage. To download additional languages to yourdevice, select Options > Download languages.Tip: When you download a new language, youmust download at least one voice for thatlanguage.To set the speaking voice, select Voice. The voicedepends on the selected language.To set the speaking rate, select Speed.To set the speaking volume, select Volume.To view details of a voice, open the voice tab, and selectthe voice and Options > Voice details. To listen to avoice, select the voice and Options > Play voice.To delete languages or voices, select the item andOptions > Delete.Message reader settingsTo change the message reader settings, open theSettings tab, and define the following:• Language detection — Activate automaticreading language detection.• Continuous reading — Activate continuousreading of all selected messages.• Speech prompts — Set the message reader toinsert prompts in messages.• Audio source — Listen to messages through theearpiece or loudspeaker.Special message typesSelect Menu > Messaging.You can receive special messages that contain data,such as operator logos, ringing tones, bookmarks, orinternet access or e-mail account settings.To save the contents of these messages, selectOptions > Save.Service messagesService messages are sent to your device by serviceproviders.
