Select Always enabled toalways automatically retrieve new e-mail messagesfrom your remote mailbox, or Only in home net. toautomatically retrieve new e-mail messages fromyour remote mailbox only when you are in yourhome network and not, for example, traveling.• Retrieval days — Select the days on which e-mailsare retrieved to your device.• Retrieval hours — Define the hours between whichthe e-mails are retrieved.• Retrieval interval — Select the time intervalbetween retrieving new e-mails.Text messagesYour device supports the sending of text messagesbeyond the character limit for a single message. Longermessages are sent as a series of two or more messages.Your service provider may charge accordingly.Characters that use accents or other marks, andcharacters from some language options like Chinese,take up more space limiting the number of charactersthat can be sent in a single message.In the navigation bar, the message length indicatorcounts backwards from 160. For example, 10 (2) meansthat you can still add 10 characters to send the text astwo messages.Write and send text messagesSelect Menu > Messag. > New message > Textmessage.1. In the To field, press the joystick to select recipientsfrom Contacts, or enter the recipients' mobile phonenumbers manually. If you enter more than onenumber, separate the numbers with a semicolon.2. Enter the text of the message. To use a template,select Options > Insert > Template.3. Select Options > Send to send the message.Reply to received text messagesTo reply to a text message, open the message from theInbox. Select Options > Reply. Enter the text of themessage, and select Options > Send.To call the sender of a text message, open the messagefrom the Inbox, and select Options > Call.Text messages on the SIM cardText messages may be stored on your SIM card. Beforeyou can view SIM messages, you must copy themessages to a folder in the device. After copying themessages to a folder, you can view them in the folderor delete them from the SIM card.Select Options > SIM messages.1.
