You may not be able to use some of the othercommunication features when the device is used as amodem.Email data roamingSelect Menu > Tools > Settings > Connection > Accesspoint groups.Your device allows roaming between wireless accesstechnologies, such as WLAN and GPRS, for e-mail. Forexample, you can start an e-mail session at home andcontinue the session on your way to work. While yoursession continues uninterrupted, your handheld deviceswitches from WLAN to GPRS and back to WLAN whenyou arrive at your workplace.Access point groupsTo create an access point group, select Access pointgroups > Options > New group. In the Group name field,enter a name for the group. Define in the Conn.switching field whether to show the connectionswitching process on the display of your device. Chooseand edit the access points that belong to this group inthe Access points section.To remove an access point in an access point group,select the access point and Options > Remove.Internet access pointsAn access point is where your device connects to anetwork. To use e-mail and multimedia services or toconnect to the Internet and browse web pages, youmust first define Internet access points for theseservices. You may need to set up several Internet accesspoints, depending on the sites you want to access. Forexample, browsing the Web may require one accesspoint, and accessing your company intranet mayrequire another. To connect to the Internet over GPRS,your device may have predefined, default Internetaccess point settings.When you switch on your device for the first time, theaccess points may be configured automatically basedon the service provider information in your SIM card.You can also receive the access points settings in amessage from your service provider. This might reducethe number of settings you need to enter yourself.The available options may vary. Some or all accesspoints may be preset for your device by your serviceprovider.
