Move on a mapThe map coverage varies by country and region.When you open Maps, the capital of the country you arein or the location that was saved from your last sessionis shown. The map of the location is also downloaded,if needed.To zoom in to your GPS position or your last knownlocation, press the function key and 0.When the GPS connection is active, shows yourcurrent location on the map.To move on the map, scroll up, down, left, or right withthe scroll key. The map is oriented towards north bydefault.To zoom in and out on the map, press the function keyand *, or the function key and #.When you browse the map on the display, a new mapis automatically downloaded if you scroll to an areawhich is not covered by maps already downloaded.These maps are free of charge, but downloading mayinvolve the transmission of large amounts of datathrough your service provider's network. For moreinformation on data transmission charges, contactyour service provider. The maps are automaticallysaved in the device memory or on a compatiblememory card (if inserted).Display indicatorsThe GPS indicator on the bottom rightcorner of the display shows the availability andstrength of the satellite signal. One bar is one satellite.When the device tries to find a satellite, the bar isyellow. When the device receives enough data from thesatellite to establish a GPS connection, the bar turnsgreen. The more green bars, the stronger the GPSconnection.Initially, your device must receive signals from at leastfour satellites to calculate the coordinates of yourlocation. After the initial calculation, signals from threesatellites may be enough.The data transfer indicator shows theinternet connection used and the amount of datatransferred since the application started.Find locationsTo find a location in the city or area displayed on themap, enter the full or partial address of the location inthe search field, and press the scroll key.
