Before pairing, decide on your own passcode (1-16digits), and agree with the user of the other device touse the same code. Devices that do not have a userinterface have a fixed passcode. You need the passcodeonly when you connect the devices for the first time.After pairing, it is possible to authorise the connection.Pairing and authorising the connection makesconnecting quicker and easier, as you do not have toaccept the connection between paired devices everytime you establish a connection.The passcode for remote SIM access must have 16digits.1. Select Options > New paired device. The devicestarts to search for Bluetooth devices within range.If you have sent data using Bluetooth before, a listof the previous search results is displayed. To searchfor more Bluetooth devices, select More devices.2. Select the device with which you want to pair, andenter the passcode. The same passcode must beentered to the other device as well.3. Select Yes to make the connection between yourdevice and the other device automatic, or No toconfirm the connection manually every time aconnection attempt is made. After pairing, thedevice is saved to the paired devices page.To give a nickname to the paired device, selectOptions > Assign short name. The nickname is onlydisplayed in your device.To delete a pairing, select the device whose pairing youwant to delete and Options > Delete. To delete allpairings, select Options > Delete all. If you arecurrently connected to a device and cancel the pairingwith that device, pairing is removed immediately, andthe connection is ended.To allow a paired device to connect automatically toyour device, select Set as authorised. Connectionsbetween your device and the other device can be madewithout your knowledge. No separate acceptance orauthorisation is needed. Use this status for your owndevices, such as your compatible headset or computer,or devices that belong to someone you trust. If youwant to accept connection requests from the otherdevice separately every time, select Set asunauthorised.To use a Bluetooth audio enhancement such as aBluetooth handsfree or headset, you need to pair yourdevice with the enhancement. See the enhancementuser guide for the passcode and further instructions.To connect to the audio enhancement, switch on theenhancement. Some audio enhancements connectautomatically to your device. Otherwise open thepaired devices tab, scroll to the enhancement, andselect Options > Connect to audio device.Security tipsWhen you are not using Bluetooth connectivity, selectBluetooth > Off or My phone's visibility >Hidden.Do not pair with an unknown device.107 Connectivity
