PersonalizationYou can personalize your device by, for example, adjustingthe various tones, background images, and screen savers.ProfilesSelect Menu > Ctrl. panel > Profiles.You can adjust and customize the ringing tones, alerttones, and other device tones for different events,environments, or caller groups. The active profile is shownat the top of the display in the home screen. However, ifthe active profile is General, only today's date is shown.To create a new profile, select Options > Create new,and define the settings.To customize a profile, select a profile and Options >Customize.To change a profile, select a profile and Options >Activate. The Offline profile prevents your device fromaccidentally switching on, sending or receiving messages,or using wireless LAN, Bluetooth connectivity, GPS, or FMradio; it also closes any internet connection that may bein operation when the profile is selected. The Offlineprofile does not prevent you from establishing a wirelessLAN or Bluetooth connection at a later time, or fromrestarting the GPS or FM radio, so comply with anyapplicable safety requirements when establishing andusing these features.To set the profile to be active until a certain time withinthe next 24 hours, scroll to the profile, select Options >Timed, and set the time. When the time expires, theprofile changes back to the previously active non-timedprofile. When the profile is timed, is displayed in thehome screen. The Offline profile cannot be timed.To delete a profile that you created, select Options >Delete profile. You cannot delete the predefined profiles.Select ringing tonesTo set a ringing tone for a profile, select Options >Customize > Ringing tone. Select a ringing tone fromthe list, or select Download sounds to open a bookmarkfolder containing a list of bookmarks for downloadingtones using the browser. Any downloaded tones are savedto Gallery.To play the ringing tone for a selected contact group only,select Options > Customize > Alert for, and select thedesired group. Phone calls coming from outside thatgroup have a silent alert.To change the message tone, select Options >Customize > Message alert tone.Customize profilesSelect Menu > Ctrl. panel > Profiles. 89 Personalization |
