• Automatic time update — Update the time, date, andtime zone information automatically (network service).Common accessory settingsSelect Menu > Ctrl. panel > Settings and General >Enhancement.With most accessories, you can do the following:To define which profile is activated when you attach anaccessory to your device, select the accessory and Defaultprofile.To set the device to answer phone calls automatically after 5seconds when an accessory is attached, select Automaticanswer > On. If the ringing type is set to Beep once orSilent in the selected profile, automatic answering isdisabled.To illuminate the device while it is attached to an accessory,select Lights > On.Sensor settingsSelect Menu > Ctrl. panel > Settings and General >Sensor settings.To set the device to silence an incoming call or snooze analarm when you turn the device face down, select Turn tosilence.Security settingsAbout security settingsSelect Menu > Ctrl. panel > Settings and General >Security.Avoid using codes that are similar to emergency numbers toprevent accidental dialling of the emergency number. Codesare shown as asterisks. When you change a code, enter thecurrent code, then the new code twice.Device and SIM card securityTo change the PIN code, select Phone and SIM card > PINcode. The new code must be 4 to 8 digits long. The PIN codeprotects your SIM card against unauthorised use and isprovided with the SIM card. After three consecutive incorrectPIN code entries, the code is blocked, and you need to use thePUK code to unblock it before you can use the SIM card again.To set the keypad to lock automatically after a defined period,select Phone and SIM card > Keypad autolock period.To set a time-out after which the device is automaticallylocked and can be used only if the correct lock code is entered,select Phone and SIM card > Phone autolock period. Entera number for the time-out in minutes, or select None to setoff the autolock period. When the device is locked, you canstill answer incoming calls, and calls may still be possible tothe official emergency number programmed into yourdevice.To set a new lock code, select Phone and SIM card > Lockcode. The preset lock code is 12345. Enter the current codeand then the new code twice. The new code can be 4-255characters long.
