CameraAbout the cameraYour Nokia N78 has two cameras. The main, highresolution camera (up to 3.2 megapixels), is on theback of the device. The secondary, lower resolution,camera is on the front. You can use both cameras totake still pictures and record videos.Your device supports an image capture resolutionof 2048x1536 pixels. The image resolution in thisguide may appear different.The images and video clips are automatically savedin the Photos application. See "Photos", p. 74. Thecameras produce .jpeg images. Video clips arerecorded in the MPEG-4 file format with the .mp4file extension, or in the 3GPP file format with the .3gp file extension (sharing quality). See "Videosettings", p. 73.To free memory for new images and video clips,transfer files to a compatible PC using a compatibleUSB data cable, for example, and remove the filesfrom your device. The device informs you when thememory is full, and asks whether you want tochange the memory in use.You can send images and video clips in a multimediamessage, as an e-mail attachment, or by using otherconnection methods, such as Bluetoothconnectivity or a wireless LAN connection. You canalso upload them to a compatible online album. See"Share images and videos online", p. 81.Activate the cameraTo activate the main camera, press and hold thecapture key. To activate the main camera when it isalready open in the background, press and hold thecapture key.To close the main camera, select Exit.Keep a safe distance when using the flash.
