Using awireless LAN (WLAN) access point device or a WLANrouter, you can create a home network and connectcompatible UPnP devices that support WLAN to thenetwork, such as your device, a compatible PC, acompatible printer, and a compatible sound systemor television, or a sound system or a televisionequipped with a compatible wireless multimediareceiver.To use the WLAN function of your device in a homenetwork, you must have a working WLAN homeconnection setup and have other UPnP enabledhome devices to connect to the same homenetwork. See "Wireless LAN", p. 100.The home network uses the security settings of theWLAN connection. Use the home network feature ina WLAN infrastructure network with a WLAN accesspoint device and encryption enabled.You can share and synchronise media files in yourmobile device with other compatible UPnP devicesusing the home network. To manage your homenetwork settings, press , and select Tools >Connectivity > Home media. You can also use thehome network to view, play, copy, or printcompatible media files from your mobile device. See"View and share media files", p. 86.Your device is connected to the home network onlyif you accept a connection request from anothercompatible device, or select the option to view,play, print, or copy media files on your device orsearch for other devices in the Home networkfolder.Important securityinformationWhen you configure your WLAN home network,enable an encryption method on your access pointdevice, then on the other devices you intend toconnect to your home network. Refer to thedocumentation of the devices. Keep any passcodessecret and in a safe place separate from the devices.You can view or change the settings of the WLANinternet access point in your device.
