You can also secure the backups witha password.To back up data, do the following:1. Tap , and select Tools > Backup/Restore >New backup.2. In the Backup selection dialog, change the name of thebackup; tap the name, and enter a new one. If bothmemory cards are installed, define the desired locationof the backup using a choice list.3. In the Data selection dialog, select whether you want toback up all data or only the specified data types.To protect the backup with a password, tap Protect withpassword, enter twice the password you want to use,and tap OK.To restore data, do the following:1. Tap , and select Tools > Backup/Restore.2. Select the backup on the memory card that you wantto restore. Tap Restore.If you have protected the backup with a password, thePassword needed dialog is displayed. Enter the password,and tap OK.To delete an unnecessary backup, select the backup andtap Delete.Important: To ensure that the E-mail applicationworks properly, always back up settings and e-mailmessages. Restore the backup when no settings ore-mail messages are present in the application, forexample, directly after updating the software onyour device.The following information, for example, is not backed up:• theme settings, when you restore backups fromprevious product versions,• Bluetooth connectivity settings,• installed applications, and• browser settings.HelpYour Nokia N800 offers device help, which providesadditional information on key features, applications,and dialogs of the device.To access help from the task navigator, tap , andselect Help.To access help from an application, tap the applicationtitle, and select the help command from the menu(usually under the Tools menu).
