All rights reserved.Web communication31Internet callInternet call is based on voice over internet protocol (VoIP)that allows you to make and receive calls over the internet.To use this feature, you must have an active networkconnection, a registered internet call account with aservice provider, and a presence status that allowsreceiving calls (On or Away).Warning: Emergency calls are not supported.To access the Internet call application, tap ,and select New Internet call.If you have not defined an account, you are requested todo so. Follow the instructions on the screen to completeand save the account settings.You can only have one internet call at a time. No group orconference calls are possible.The Incoming call dialog is displayed when you receive anincoming internet call. To answer the call, tap . To rejectthe call, tap . To silence the call, tap . To block thecall, tap , and select Block caller. All incoming callrequests from that caller are rejected, and you receive noindication of them.To adjust the volume of an internet call, drag the volumeslider with the stylus. To mute a call, tap below thevolume slider. When the call is muted, you can listen towhat the other person is saying, but that person cannothear your voice. To unmute the call, tap the icon again.Warning: Do not hold the device near your earwhen the loudspeaker is in use, because thevolume may be extremely loud.To end an internet call, tap . When you end a call, acall summary is displayed.All recent calls are registered in a log. The log remains inthe device as long as the device is powered on. If thedevice is rebooted, the log is deleted.Nokia N800 also supports internet calls with video.
