If you select an active connection, theconnection details are displayed.Operating modesThere are two operating modes in Wi-Fi WLAN:infrastructure and ad hoc.The infrastructure operating mode allows two kinds ofcommunication: wireless devices are connected toeach other through a Wi-Fi/WLAN access point device,or wireless devices are connected to a wired LANthrough a Wi-Fi/WLAN access point device.In the ad hoc operating mode, devices can send andreceive data directly with each other.Wireless LAN settingsSelect Menu > Settings and Connectivity > Wi-Fi >Options > Settings.Select from the following:● Show Wi-Fi availability — Select whether isdisplayed when a wireless LAN (WLAN) is available.Tip: To access the WLAN Wizard applicationand view the available options, select theWLAN icon, and in the pop-up window, selectthe highlighted text next to the WLAN icon.● Scan for networks — If you set Show Wi-Fiavailability to Yes, you can select how often thedevice searches for available WLANs and updatesthe indicator.● Internet connectivity test — Select whether youwant the device to test the internet capability of theselected WLAN automatically, to ask for permissionevery time, or to never perform the connectivity test.If you select Run automatically or allow the test tobe performed when the device asks for it, and theconnectivity test is performed successfully, theaccess point is saved to the internet destinations.To view advanced settings, select Options >Advanced settings.
