safety requirements when establishing and using a Wi-Ficonnection.Tip: To check the unique media access control (MAC) addressthat identifies your device, open the dialer and enter*#62209526#.Wi-Fi wizardSelect Menu > Settings and Connectivity > Wi-Fi.The Wi-Fi wizard helps you to connect to a wireless Wi-Fi andmanage your Wi-Fi connections.If the search finds Wi-Fi networks, to create an internet accesspoint (IAP) for a connection and start the web browser usingthis IAP, select the connection and Start web browsing.If you select a secured Wi-Fi, you are asked to enter therelevant password. To connect to a hidden network, you mustenter the correct network name (service set identifier, SSID).If you already have the web browser running using thecurrently active Wi-Fi connection, to return to the webbrowser, select Continue web browsing.To end the active connection, select the connection andDisconnect Wi-Fi.Wi-Fi internet access pointsSelect Menu > Settings and Connectivity > Wi-Fi.Filter out Wi-Fi networks from the list of found networksSelect Options > Filter Wi-Fi networks. The selectednetworks are not displayed the next time the Wi-Fi wizardsearches for Wi-Fi networks.View the details of a networkSelect Options > Details. If you select an active connection,the connection details are displayed.Operating modesThere are two operating modes in Wi-Fi: infrastructure andad hoc.The infrastructure operating mode allows two kinds ofcommunication: wireless devices are connected to eachother through a Wi-Fi access point device, or wireless devicesare connected to a wired LAN through a Wi-Fi access pointdevice.In the ad hoc operating mode, devices can send and receivedata directly with each other.Wireless LAN settingsIn the wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) settings, you can define whetherthe Wi-Fi indicator is displayed when a network is availableand how often the network is scanned.
