174.6 HYDRAULIC I NSTALLATIONWARNING!The hydraulic system creates very highpressure. Before disconnecting anyhydraulic lines ensure all pressure hasbeen bled from the system. Whenchanging the boom hydraulic hoses leavethe booms in TRANSPORT POSITION.IMPORTANT:Component failure due to oilcontamination is not covered under theUC4+ System warranty. It isrecommended that a qualified techniciandoes the hydraulic installation.4.6.1 Valve Assembly1. On a clean surface remove all plasticplugs from the NORAC hydraulic Valve(V01) (Figure 21).2. Install the 6MB-6MJ fittings (F05) onthe "P" and "T" ports and tighten to 18ft-lbs.Figure 21 – NORAC Valve Block3. Install the orifices (F06) into the "B"ports with the notch facing outwardsas shown in Figure 22. An O-ring pickcan be used to ease installing the orificesinto their locations.4. Install the 6MB-6MJ fittings (F05) intothe "B" ports and tighten to 18 ft-lbs.5. Install the 6MBP plugs (F02) into the"A" ports and tighten to 18 ft-lbs.Figure 22 – Valve Block Assembly4.6.2 Valve Mounting1. Mount the NORAC valve (V01) on thesprayer using the valve mountingbracket (B10).2. As shown in Figure 23, screw short sideof the threaded rods into the bottom ofthe valve block at least 3/8". The valvemounting holes are drilled and tapped3/8 NC-1" deep.3. Tighten the Hex nuts to hold the rods.4. Put the mounting bracket on the otherside of the tube and tighten with thespring washers and the Hex nuts.5. Cut excess off of the rods, if necessary.
