To use the handgrip heart rate monitor, fol-low the instructions below. To mea-sure your heartrate, hold thehandgrip heartrate monitor withyour palms rest-ing against thecontacts. Avoidmoving your hands or gripping the contactstightly.When your pulse is detected, your heart ratewill be shown. For the most accurate heartrate reading, hold the contacts for at least 15seconds.If the display does not show your heart rate, makesure that your hands are positioned as described.Be careful not to move your hands excessively orto squeeze the contacts tightly. For optimal perfor-mance, clean the contacts using a soft cloth; neveruse alcohol, abrasives, or chemicals to cleanthe contacts.6. Turn on the fan if desired.The fan has several speed settings,including an auto mode. While theauto mode is selected, the speed ofthe fan will automatically increaseor decrease as your power outputin watts increases or decreases.Press the fan increase anddecrease buttons repeatedly to select a fan speedor to turn off the fan.Note: If the pedals are not moved for a while whenthe main menu is selected, the fan will turn offautomatically.7.
