ITALY Built IN18 7095401 Rev.03 – EN4. FIRE SAFETYIn the installation of the cooker the following safety measures are to be followed:a) In order to ensure sufficient thermal insulation, respect the minimum safety distance from objects orfurnishing components flammable and sensitive to heat (furniture, wood sheathings, fabrics. etc.) andfrom materials with flammable structure (see Picture 3 - A). All the minimum safety distances areshown on the product data plate and lower values must not be used.b) In front of the hearth, in its radiation area there must not be any flammable object or constructionmaterial sensitive to the heat at least within 100 cm’s; This distance can be reduced to 40 cm’s if youwill install in front of the element to protect a retro ventilated and heat resistant protection.c) no flammable components (e.g. wall units) must be present above the cooker.d) If the stove is installed on a wall made of flammable material, it is necessary to replace that part ofthe wall with a non-flammable material layer, for instance ceramic, stone, glass or steel etc. Thereplaced part of wall must be as large as the stove is and, starting from the floor, protrude around 50cm at least (Picture 3 C) from the top side of the stove.e) on both sides of the cooker for a height of 20cm from the top plate it must NOT be put anyconstructive element or inflammable thing (furniture, wood covering, material, etc) (Picture 3 B).The cooker must operate exclusively with the ash drawer inserted. The solid residues of the combustion(ashes) must be collected in an hermetic container, resistant to fire. The cooker must never be ignited nearwhen there are gas or steam emissions (e.g. glue for linoleum, gasoline, etc.). Never deposit flammablematerials near the stove. During the combustion will be spread thermal energy which warms up thesurfaces, the door, the fireplace glass, the handles and knobs, the smoke pipe and the front side of thestove. Please avoid the contact of these parts without gloves or the relevant tools.Warn children of the danger and keep them away during the operation of the stove. The use of a wrong or wet fuel causes the formation of creosote deposits in the flue and will fuel a chimneyfire.4.1. FIRST-AID MEASURESShould any fire arise in the stack or in the flue:a) Close the feeding door and the ash drawer door.b) Close the registers of combustion airc) Extinguish the fire using carbon dioxide fire-fighting means (CO2 dust).d) Seek immediate intervention of FIRE BRIGADE.DO NOT EXTINGUISH FIRE USING WATER JETSWhen the fire has been extinguished, let the flue check by an expert to find possible cracks and permeablepoints.Picture 3A10050C2020NO SISIB50 YESYES
