If you program the level sensor for Empty, be sure to also programit for Full.1. Lower the lance assembly until the powder covers at least 25 mm (1 in.)of the level sensor probe.2. Raise the lance assembly so that the bottom of the level sensor probe isat least 25 mm (1 in.) away from the surface of the powder.3. See Figure 4-27. Press the programming button until the green LEDflashes slowly, then release it. When the green LED stops flashing andthe yellow LED turns off, the level sensor is programmed for Empty.NOTE: The green LED will flash slowly for 5 seconds, then startflashing quickly. If you are still pressing the programming button whenthe green LED starts to flash quickly, you will be programming the levelsensor for Full instead of Empty. Repeat the procedure from thebeginning to program the level sensor for Empty, releasing the buttonwhile the green LED is flashing slowly.Full ProgrammingNOTE: You can program the level sensor for Full as often as desiredwithout overwriting the Empty value.1. When both the green and yellow LEDs are lit continuously, thefull adjustment is complete.Locking and Unlocking the Level SensorThe level sensor can be locked to protect it from unauthorized adjustment.NOTE: The level sensor is shipped unlocked.Task ProcedureLocking Press the programming button for 10 seconds. Thegreen LED will flash slowly for five seconds, then it willflash quickly.When the green LED turns off, the level sensor probe islocked. When the green LED turns back oncontinuously, the level sensor probe is ready foroperation.Unlocking Press the programming button for 10 seconds. After 10seconds, all LEDs turn off, indicating that the levelsensor probe is unlocked.
