Installation 3-19Part 1603638-07 2016 Nordson CorporationIn addition to the configuration data, up to 255 presets per gun can bestored on one data card. Additional cards provide you with a virtuallyunlimited number of presets. To back up a data card use the Data Backupfunction. This copies the data to a blank card. Refer to Data Backup in theiControl Operator Interface manual for instructions.NOTE: Not all CompactFlash cards are the same. If you purchaseadditional cards, make sure they are from a Nordson-approvedmanufacturer and are 128 Mb or greater. For approved CF cards, refer toSpecifications in the Description section of this manual or contact yourNordson controls engineer or Nordson Technical Support.Touch Screen CalibrationThe touch screen is calibrated at the factory before the system is shipped.The touch screen calibration values are stored on the program card. If youinstall a new program card that has never been used before, there will be nocalibration file on the card. The system will automatically start thecalibration procedure.Follow the calibration instructions on the screen exactly, using your finger totouch the targets. When you have completed the calibration procedure,touch the iControl 2 button to start the iControl 2 software.Refer to Troubleshooting for a complete description of the calibrationprocedure and instructions on calibration.System UpgradesiControl 2 systems can be upgraded by: installing a new program flash card with updated software. adding additional guns to an existing console adding an auxiliary console adding an air conditioner to the console to keep the electronics coolCertain upgrades require updates to the gun control card and iFlow modulefirmware. These upgrades should only be done by a Nordsonrepresentative.
