Nortel WLAN Location Engine 2340 Dashboard 55Nortel WLAN - Location Engine 2340 Configuration - Using Interfaces• Networks - Shows the networks tracked by the server.Device listsOnce the connection is established from the Nortel WLE2340 Dashboard to a Nortel WLAN Location Engine, youfollowing table immediately appears:The Device List presents a comprehensive summary of the each device as follows:• label• device type• network info• group• channel• locale• MAC address• IP address• ActivityA Device List can be displayed for any of the following by right clicking on the name in the Connections panel andselecting View Devices from the context menu:• Server: All devices being tracked (i.e. on all networks and in all locales).• Locale: Just the devices in the selected locale.• Network: Just the devices in the selected networkBy default, all powered devices within range of the specified wireless network are listed. The list can also be filtered toshow just active or inactive devices. (An active device is one that is powered on and has transmitted within the periodspecified by the Inactivity Threshold parameter, by default 140 seconds).Label refers to the name assigned to the device in the Nortel WLE2340; if name was not assigned, then the default labelwill be MAC address. Device Type can be Client, Access Point, Ad Hoc or UNKNOWN. Network Info displays theNote. When you close the Nortel WLE2340 Dashboard, the connection will beautomatically saved and are re-established automatically on start up. It will prompt forpassword during re-connect if the Save password check box was not checked during login.
