The connectiontypes are as follows:1 Meridian Link services connection is suitable if you wish to use SymposiumTAPI SP in an existing Symposium Call Center with skill-based routing ofcalls. Select the link keycode option for this type of installation.2 Direct connection is suitable if you do not require Call Center capabilities, forexample you can use it in a knowledge worker environment whereACD-based routing over an Ethernet E-LAN connection is sufficient. Selectthe direct connect keycode option for this type of installation.Server locationThe physical location of your TAPI server depends on the type of connection yourequire. In a Call Center the TAPI server must have physical proximity to theSymposium Call Center server (SCCS). In a direct connect environment, theserver must have physical proximity to the Succession switch. Before youprovision a server for Symposium TAPI services, refer to the Network ManagersGuide for Symposium TAPI Service Provider for Succession, release 3.0, forinformation about physical location requirements.
