4About Your Pressure WasherThank you for purchasing a NorthStar Pressure Washer!It is designed for long life, dependability, and topperformance.Intended Use. Produce a high-pressure water spray.Incorporate cleaning chemicals into a low-pressurewater spray.Note: Do not use for other purposes, as unforeseenhazards or equipment damage may result.Gasoline powered pressure washers are forOUTDOOR USE ONLY. Be sure to read about siteselection for running this pressure washer in the "InitialSet-up" section of this manual.Water Supply. The pump requires a clean, standard tapwater supply provided through a garden hose at a flowrate of at least 6 gallons per minute. The use of abackflow preventer on the water supply hose isrecommended and may be required by local code. Anycleaning chemicals that are used must be specificallyapproved for use in pressure washers.Power Source. The pressure washer is powered by agasoline engine.Supplies Required. Normal operation will require youto supply: Pressure Washer pump oil Gasoline Engine oil 12-Volt standard lawn and garden battery Personal Protection EquipmentSee “Specifications” section of this manual for moredetail.Site Location. Intended for outdoor use only.Personal Protection. Wear safety apparel duringoperation, including safety glasses with side and topprotection. Ear protection is also recommended ifworking near any operating engine. Other safety apparelincludes waterproof insulated gloves, safety glasseswith side and top protection, and non-slip protectivefootwear. Cleaning chemicals may require the use ofrespiration mask; refer to chemical label for furtherinstruction.Adult control only. Only trained adults should set upand operate the pressure washer. Do not let childrenoperate.Under The Influence. Never operate, or let anyone elseoperate, the pressure washer while fatigued or underthe influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication.WARNING: Read this ManualCarefully read and follow all instructions and safetyinformation for using this pressure washer.
