NFS-320/E/C Installation Manual — P/N 52745:M2 7/1/14 27Output Relay Connections Installation3.6.1 Stat-X DevicesFigure 3.10 shows typical wiring for STAT-X devices using the Ematch Protection Device (P/N3005014). Note the following:• Each Stat-X device requires anEmatch Protection Device toprotect against high-voltagetransient signals, such as lightning, that may cause the device toaccidentally release.• Multiple Stat-X devices can beconnected in series (as shown).• No more than ten (10) Stat-Xdevices can be connected on asingle releasing circuit.• A REL-2.2K can be installed on asingle Stat-X device for shortcircuit detection. For multiple Stat-X devices installed in series, theREL-2.2K is installed on the lastdevice on the releasing circuit (asshown). A REL-2.2K is required for ULC applications.• Stat-X devices are not to be used with the FCM-1 or FCM-1-REL.3.7 Output Relay ConnectionsThe panel provides a set of Form-C relays. Theseare rated for 2.0 A at 30 VDC (resistive):• Alarm - TB4• Trouble - TB4• Supervisory - TB5• Security - TB5These are power-limited only if connected to apower-limited source.Using VeriFire Tools, the Supervisory andSecurity contacts can also be configured as Alarmcontacts.
