In theformer, while PCL emulation is available on all printer models, PSemulation is standard only on the B4600nPS, B4600LnPS modeland is optional on the B4600, B4600L and B4600n, B4600Lnmodels.PRINTER SETTINGS IN WINDOWSThe operator panel controlled menus and Status Monitorcontrolled menus (described in the chapter entitled “Operatorpanels”) provide access to many options.The Windows printer driver also contains settings for many ofthese items. Where items in the printer driver are the same asthose in the operator panel and Status Monitor menus, and youprint documents from Windows, the settings in the Windowsprinter driver will override those settings in the operator paneland Status Monitor menus.PRINTING PREFERENCES IN WINDOWS APPLICATIONSWhen you choose to print your document from a Windowsapplication program a Print dialogue box appears. This dialogueusually specifies the name of the printer on which you will printyour document. Next to the printer name is a Properties button.When you click Properties a new window opens which containsa short list of the printer settings available in the driver, whichyou can choose for this document. The settings available fromwithin your application are only those which you may want tochange for specific applications or documents.
