B6500 Network Guide> 33JOB NUMBERThis option specifies the job number of the print data to be deleted.These numbers can be checked by issuing a "lpstat" command.This option is invalid in the non-spool mode.Precautions• Print data that consists of multiple files sent in one printinstruction cannot be deleted file by file. All the files will bedeleted at one go.• This command will become invalid if it is executed withoutoptions having been specified or if there is no print datawhich matches the option.• A workstation can only delete print data it has sent. It cannotdelete print data sent by other workstations.• When a command to delete print data is received, the fileconcerned will be deleted even if it is in the process of beingprinted. Only the print data available prior to file deletion willbe printed.SampleTo cancel the print data related to the files of printer "P001" (Jobnumber: P001-27), enter the following command:To cancel all the printer data of printer "P001", enter the followingcommand:INQUIRY ( LPSTAT)The "lpstat" command is used to inquire about the status of theprinter.Important:In the non-spool mode, this function is available to Windows NTclients but not to Solaris clients.%cancel P001-27%cancel P001 -e
