If you haveInternet access from your computer this tab provides access to awealth of help and support specific to your printer in a speciallydesigned web page available in a wide range of languages.WHICH PRINTER DRIVER?Your printer comes with Windows drivers for PCL and PostScript(PS). You can install either of these, or both if you wish. Whichdriver you choose depends on your application.> If you use TrueType fonts and you do not print PostScript(including “.eps” files) graphics, choose the PCL driver.This will be more efficient and give good results. The PCLdriver is recommended for most general officeapplications.> If you use PostScript fonts or you will be printingPostScript graphics, choose the PostScript driver. In thissituation performance will be faster and graphics will beprinted at their best quality. The PostScript driver isrecommended for desktop publishing applications.NOTEThe line art graphics in this manual are PostScript. So if youplan to print parts of this manual choose the PostScript driver.Otherwise the line art graphics will only print at low resolution.If your applications vary so much that neither driver seems tocover all your needs, you could choose to install both. Then selectthe one you plan to use most of the time to be your Windowsdefault driver. Most applications allow you to choose a differentprinter from within the print dialogue, so you can print using thealternative driver whenever you need to. If you install bothdrivers, simply select the same printer port (LPT1, USB orNetwork Port) during the installation.If you wish, you can download a PCL XL (PCL6) driver from thewebsite http://www.okieurope.com. Using this can result insmaller print files, faster print speed and more accuratereproduction of the original computer file. However, booklet
