E-32 Section 3Using the Printer's FeaturesTear FeatureWhen you’re using continuous forms with either thebuilt-in rear-feed tractor or the optional bottom-feed pushtractor, you can use this feature to advance the forms upto the tear position so you can easily tear off a printedsheet without wasting paper or readjusting the printer. Todo this, simply press the TEAR button on the front panel.TEARSETThe tear feature can NOT be used when the op-tional pull tractor is installed!Forms Tear-off FeatureNever engage Forms Tear-off when printing onlabels!The Forms Tear-off feature automatically moves thepaper up to the tear position after the selected interval.When the printer receives data, it will move down to theinitial printing position.This feature is normally turned off. To activate it:SELSELPOWERLF FF/LOAD TEAR PARK QUIETSHIFT Micro FeedDown TOFMicro FeedUpEXIT GROUP SET PRINTITEMALARM MENUMENU1. Hold the SHIFT button (Ê) and press the SEL button(Ë) to enter the Menu mode.2. Press the GROUP button (Ì) until the lineRear Feed Form Tear-Off Offprints.3. Press the SET button (Í) until the time interval youwish to select prints .4. Hold the SHIFT button (Ê) and press the SEL button(Ë) to exit the Menu mode and save the setting.4 Some programs pause occasionally while sendingdata. If the pause lasts more than the selected interval,the paper will advance to the tear-off position untilmore data is received. This extra paper movement cancause uneven print registration in graphics. If youhave this problem, use the menu to deactivate FormsTear-Off.!ÊË Ì Í!
