Theadjustment is made by changing the parameter value set in EEPROM on the main control board. Theparameter can be set by the key operation from the operator panel. This printer has three kinds ofmaintenance modes, and it is necessary to select one of the modes when replacing any parts.4.1 Maintenance Modes and Functions4.1.1 User Maintenance ModeTo enter into the user maintenance mode, turn the POWER switch on while holding the MENU key down.FunctionThere are thirteen functions as follows:• Menu reset(See Table 4-1) • Opepane menu disable• Hex dump • X-adjust• Drum counter reset • Y-adjust• Recieve buffer • 2nd Tray• ECP disable • Place page command• Setting• Jam Recovery (Print Performance for continuous)• Power Save disableDetailed descriptions of these functions are provided in Appendix E, DIAGNOSTICS TEST.4.1.2 System Maintenance ModeNote: This mode is used only by maintenance personnel and it should not be released to the end-users.To enter into the system maintenance mode, turn the POWER switch on while holding theRecover keydown.FunctionThere are seven functions as follows:• Page count display • Loop test• Page count printing enable/disable • EEPROM reset (See Table 4-1)• Rolling ASCII continues printing • SIDM enable/ disable• DRAM Memory Check modeDetailed descriptions of these functions are provided in Appendix E, DIAGNOSTICS TEST.
