40930701TH DRAFT Vesion 49 /2.6 Toner Low Detection• CompositionThe device consists of the stirring gear which rotates at a constant rate, the stirring bar andthe magnet on the stirring bar. The stirring bar rotates through the link on the protrusion inthe stirring gear.Operation during toner full state• The stirring bar rotates due to the interlockingwith the stirring gear.• Even when the magnet on the stirring barreaches the maximum height, since the otherside is being dipped in the toner, the stirringbar is pushed by the stirring gear.Operation during toner low state• When the stirring bar reaches the maximumheight, since there is no resistance providedby the toner on the other side, it falls to theminimum height due to its own weight. Be-cause of this, the time interval during which itis in encounter with the magnet of the sensorlever becomes long. By monitoring this timeinterval, toner low can be detected.• OperationToner Low is detected by monitoring the time interval of the encounter of the magnet set onthe sensor lever and the magnet on the stirring bar.MagnetProtrusionStirring Bar Stirring GearSensor LeverToner SensorStirring BarStirring Gear SectionStirring BarSensor Lever
