|User’s Guide: English 45The fax machine is recognized by utilitybut cannot establish connection withNetWare serverRemote printer mode• Check that the print server for which the unit has beenregistered has been started up.• Check that the correct print server name has beenselected. Check that the name of the print server operatingon the file server is the same as the print server name seton the fax machine’s print server.• Check that the correct NetWare port name has beenselected. Check that the fax machine name (shown on theprint server monitor of the file server) is the same as theNetWare port name set on the print server card in the faxmachine. If there are several network print servers, set theNetWare port names so that they are different from eachother.Print server mode• Check to see that the network print server is logged ontothe NetWare server.• Make sure that the correct file server name has beenselected. Check that the file server name you use is thesame as the file server name selected for the network printserver.• Make sure that the correct NetWare port name has beenselected. Check that the fax machine name set on the fileserver is the same as the NetWare port name set on thenetwork print server. If there are several network printservers, set the NetWare port names so that they aredifferent from each other.• Check that the NetWare login password matches the setpassword.• Check that the machine name for the network print serveris the same as the print server name set on the file server.Fax machine does not print• Make sure that the network cable is properly connected.Replace it if necessary.• Make sure that the fax machine is switched on. If it is on,switch it off and then on.
