The I/O connector is used to connect an external horn or, ifnecessary, to connect an external control for integrating the BondMaster 600 into asystem. For PC communication details, see “MicroSD and USB Port” on page 47.Do not expose the BondMaster 600 to harsh and wet environments while the I/O orthe VGA OUT connectors are not protected by their rubber covers. To preventconnector corrosion and damage to the BondMaster 600, keep the rubber protectivecovers on the connectors when no cables are connected.2.5.2.3 MicroSD and USB PortOn the right-hand side of the BondMaster 600, a door covers the microSD slot and theUSB port (see Figure 2-22 on page 48). The I/O door closes against an integralmembrane seal to keep liquids away from the unsealed connectors behind it.The BondMaster 600 utilizes 2 GB microSD memory cards for both onboard andremovable memory. The onboard 2 GB microSD card is mounted on the PC boardinside the BondMaster 600, and is responsible for all onboard data storage. In theevent that the BondMaster 600 is damaged beyond repair, this microSD card can beremoved at an authorized service center, allowing you to recover critical data from thedamaged BondMaster 600.You can connect the BondMaster 600 to a PC via the instrument’s USB port. TheBondMaster PC interface program (Olympus P/N: B600-CD [U8141002]) is providedwith the BondMaster 600 for PC communication and file transfers. For more details,see “BondMaster PC Software” on page 173. The BondMaster 600 can alsocommunicate directly with other SPC programs.
