10Information regarding rechargeable batteriesThis charger is exclusively for use with Olympus CAMEDIA digital cameras.Never use in combination with other equipment.1 Discharging● Batteries self-discharge while they are not in use. Be sure to charge themregularly before use.2 Battery life● Charging and discharging are possible for approximately 300 times depending ontheir use.3 Operating temperature● Batteries are chemical products. Battery efficiency may change for a time evenwithin the recommended temperature range, but this is not a malfunction.Note:New batteries or batteries that have not been used for a long time (more than onemonth) may not be fully charged. This is not a malfunction, but is a characteristic of thebattery. Charge them two or three times before using them for the first time orwhen they have not been used for a long period.● When you dispose of dead batteries always observe the laws and regulationsregarding the disposable of such items.● If NiMH rechargerble batteries are not fully discharged, protect against short-circuiting(e.g. by taping the contacts) before disposing.For customers in GermanyOlympus has a contract with the GRS (Joint Battery Disposal Association) inGermany to ensure environmentally friendly disposal.
