221Setting Time/Date (Time & Date)Setting Time/DateSetting the correct time and date on therecorder is very important since every filerecorded on the recorder will have the dateand time information as part of the file header.This will simplify the file management aspectslater on.The hour indicator will flash automaticallywhen you load batteries before using therecorder for the first time, or after therecorder hasn’t been used for a long time.However, when a Password or Fingerprint(DS-5000iD only) has been set as thedevice lock function ( P.42), the recorderwill go to the Time/Date set screen afterverification (unlocking).BACK EXITTime & Date1 M 14 D 2008 Y5: 00 PM24HBACK EXITTime & Date01 M 14 D 2008 Y5 : 45 PM24HF1, F2 buttonOK/MENU, + , –,9, 0 button1 Press the 9 or 0 button to selectthe item to set.Select the item from [hour], [minute], [year],[month] and [day] with a flashing point.2 Press the 9 or 0 button to selectthe item to set.Follow the same steps by pressing the 9 or0 button to select the next item, and pressthe + or – button to set.• You can choose between 12 and 24 hour displayby pressing the F2(24H or 12H)* button whilesetting the hour and minute.Example: 5:45 P.M.5:45 PM ←→ 17:45(Initial setting)
