The date and time is savedwith each image, and is used in the file name.Top menu [MODE MENU] [SETUP] [X]g“Using the menus” (P. 18)1 Select one of the following dateformats: [Y-M-D] (Year/Month/Day), [M-D-Y] (Month/Day/Year),[D-M-Y] (Day/Month/Year), andpress ].• Move to the year setting.• The following steps show the procedureused when the date and time settingsare set to [Y-M-D].2 Press [\ to set the year, andpress ] to move to the monthsetting.• To move back to the previous setting,press ^.• The first two digits of the year are fixed.3 Repeat this procedure until thedate and time are completely set.• The time is displayed in the 24-hourformat. Consequently, 2 p.m. is displayed as 14:00.4 Press i.• For a more accurate setting, press i when the time signal hits 00 seconds.Note• The date and time will be returned to the factory default settings if the camerais left without the battery for approximately 1 day. The settings will be canceledmore quickly if the battery was only loaded in the camera for a short time beforebeing removed.
