After that, dry the camera in theshade with good ventilation.Water drops may be observed on the innersurface of the battery/card/connector coverafter you open the cover. If any water dropsare found, be sure to wipe them off beforeusing the camera.••••••Notes after useForeign materials may be attached to thecamera when using the camera in conditionswith foreign materials such as dirt, dust orsand. If you continue to use the camera insuch conditions, it could cause damage tothe camera. To avoid such damage, wash thecamera using the following method.1 Insert the battery and close the battery/card/connector cover fi rmly so that lockmakes the clicking sound.2 Fill a bucket with fresh water, immersethe camera in the bucket with the lenssurface downward and shake the camerathoroughly. Or rinse the lens surface byplacing it directly under a strong stream oftap water.3 Press the n button several times inthe water and close/open the lens coverrepeatedly.4 Furthermore, shake the camera furtherwith the cover opened.Follow the Steps 1 to 4, then check if thelens cover moves smoothly.If the lens cover does not move smoothly,rinse the lens face by placing it directly undera strong stream of tap water and pressing then button repeatedly.Storage and MaintenanceDo not leave the camera in an environment athigh temperature (40°C (104°F) or more) or atlow temperature (-10°C (14°F) or less).
