If it is necessary to format them on a personalcomputer, download the special software program from the site given above before using them.CondensationHow to find out if there is condensation insideand what to do about itIf the condensation mark blinks, condensationhas formed inside the camera-recorder. If thishappens, the power automatically turns off in fewseconds. Even if the condensation mark isdisplayed, the camera-recorder will operate if setto P2 mode. If the camera-recorder is switchedback to tape mode, the condensation mark isdisplayed again, and the power automatically turnsoff in a few seconds.Take the following action.(1) Remove the cassetteNo other functions will be possible. It may noteven be possible to remove the cassette tapedepending on the amount of condensation. Ifthis is the case, wait two to three hours beforeremoving the cassette.(2) Wait two to three hours with the cassette holderopen.The time you need to wait depends on theamount of condensation and the ambienttemperature.(3) Turn on the power two to three hours later andcheck whether or not the condensation displayhas gone off.To make doubly sure, wait another hour or soafter the condensation display has gone offbefore using the camera-recorder again.Also remember that even when thecondensation display has not appeared,condensation may be forming.• Condensation builds up gradually so thecondensation display may not appear for 10 to 15minutes after it has started to form inside.In very cold areas, the condensation may freeze. Ifthis happens, it will take another two to three hoursfor it to thaw out.
