If theblack balance is not adjusted properly, not only willthe black be reproduced poorly but the color tonesof the entire screen will also be downgraded.It is not normally necessary to adjust the blackbalance. (Page 105)If you use the ATW feature whenever you areshooting, the camera automatically adjusts thewhite balance as you shoot.• The ATW feature automatically determines thecurrent shooting environment and adjusts thewhite balance accordingly. Depending on theenvironment, there may be some error in theadjustment.Use the procedure described on the precedingpage whenever you need more precise whitebalance.Do not block the white balance sensor when usingthe ATW feature.
