E-21Menu operationOperations using the LCD panelThe menu can be adjusted using the RotaryEncoders (1 to 3) after displaying the menu onthe LCD panel.1 Press one of the following buttons: BLACK/SHAD button, FLARE/MATRIX button,GAMMA/DTL button, WHITE/SKINDTLbutton, or KNEE/FUNC button to select anitem on the menu.2 The indication will switch to the item underthe panel # the item on the panel # thestate before entering the menu mode # theitem under the panel step by step every timethe button is pressed.The LED indicating the selected item is onand the first layer of the menu for theselected item is displayed on the LCD panel.3 Move the layer on the menu using the 4button or 3 button. (Indications are notlooped.)4 Adjust the value of the sub-items on themenu using the rotary encoder.Depending on the layers, 1 to 3 sub-itemsare displayed on the LCD panel.(In some layers, it is necessary to press therotary encoder3)5 When the camera menu is open, the menudisplayed on the LCD panel of the unit isclosed, “CAMERA MENU OPEN” isdisplayed.Operation of the camera recordermenuWith the unit, it is possible to set the menu of thecamera recorder by checking the monitor.Use this feature to set any items that are notincluded in the unit menu.1 Connect the VIDEO OUT connector of theunit to the monitor.2 Press the MENU ON button for 3 seconds orlonger.The menu of the camera recorder isdisplayed on the monitor.When the lamp of the CHARA ON button isoff, the menu is not displayed on the monitor.3 Operate the menu by operating the RotaryEncoder 3 in the same way as the JOG dialon the main unit of the camera recorder.Turn the rotary encoder counterclockwise toincrease the numerical value and turn therotary clockwise to decrease the value.Significant items such as frame frequency etc.,cannot be changed from the unit. In this case,these items can be changed from the camerarecorder.For details such as menu items and settingmethods, refer to the operation manual of thecamera recorder.Adjustment of functions on the unitIt is possible to adjust the sound heard when abutton on the unit is pressed and the brightnessof the LCD panel button by using the menu of theunit.
