8Parts and their functions CONTROL buttons [1] to [5]Pressing buttons 1 to 5 will select the connected pan/tilthead system.When the AW-RC400 is connected, the button of thechosen number will illuminate and the video signal fromthe selected pan/tilt head system will be output to theAW-RC400’s MONITOR OUT 1 to 2 terminals. IRIS LEVEL controlThis is used to adjust the iris of the lens in the pan/tilthead system currently selected.When the IRIS button is set to MANU, the control canmove the lens iris all the way from wide open to fullyclosed. When it is turned clockwise, the lens iris isopened; conversely, when it is turned counterclockwise, itis closed.When the IRIS button is set to AUTO, the control can beused to adjust the [Video level] setting on the cameramenu to adjust the focusing level of the automatic irisoperation. When it is turned clockwise, the lens iris isopened; conversely, when it is turned counterclockwise, itis closed. The lens iris is designed to be set only when theIRIS LEVEL control is moved. With this control panel, the auto iris adjust functionof the camera menu is canceled. IRIS [AUTO/MANU] buttonThis is used to select how to adjust the lens iris of thepan/tilt head system currently selected.Each time it is pressed, the AUTO or MANU setting isselected in turn.AUTO: The lens iris is adjusted automatically, and theIRIS button’s lamp comes on.MANU: The lens iris is adjusted manually using theIRIS LEVEL control.During this operation, the IRIS button lampgoes off. MEMORY buttonThe lamp of this button goes off when communicationhas been established successfully with the pan/tilt headsystem currently selected; it flashes when communicationhas failed. If the lamp is flashing, check the power supplyof the pan/tilt head system and the cable connections.Press the MEMORY button to register settings inthe preset memories of the pan/tilt head system orregistering the limiter, shutter speed or other settings.For more details, refer to the description of each functionconcerned. PRESET buttons [1] to [10]These are used to register the preset memory data in thebuttons.Preset memory data: [1] to [10] DEF buttonThis sets the defroster function ON or OFF when apan/tilt head (AW-PH600/AW-PH650) equipped with adefroster function is used in the pan/tilt head systemcurrently selected.Each time it is pressed, the function is turned ON or OFFin turn.When the defroster is ON, the button’s lamp comes on;when it is OFF, the lamp goes off.
