Replacing the Cartridge (continued)Replacing methodz Do not tip over the main unit, or face up the main spout.(Water may enter the inside of the main unit, resulting in a malfunction.)z Since the cartridge usage amount needs to be reset, do not remove the powerplug when replacing the cartridge.z Before replacing the cartridge, turn off the faucet. Do not run water through theAlkaline Ionizer with the cartridge removed.(Doing so may cause the water to overflow.)z Dispose of the used cartridge in accordance with the applicable ordinances in the area concerned.(The material of the cartridge cover is ABS. For the type of the filter materials, refer to P. EN43.)Preparation: Please turn off the faucet.1 Remove thecover.Hook your finger onthe protrusionSlidethe coverwhilepushingtheprotrusion CoverWhilepushing theprotrusion withthe finger2 Remove the oldcartridge.Push down the topPull toward youPull up and outz Point the main spout towardthe inside the sink. (Water flows.)Main spoutz Take care since water will drip from the cartridge.( Water may also drip from the bottom of the unit,but this is not a water leak.)3 Install the newcartridge.Align the cartridgewith the center of thebottom surface, andpush it in.Insert the cartridgefirmly.Push up the cartridgeuntil it clicks.4 Press approx. 3 seconds.Unlitz Cartridge replacement guideline isreset.z Be sure to press even when it is replacedearlier than the replacement timing.(To display the next replacement timing correctly)5 Open the faucet, andrun alkaline ion waterthrough the mainunit.(for about 3or 4 minutes)While water isrunning throughthe main unit, check that water is not leaking fromthe area where the cartridge was installed.z When water is run immediately after cartridgereplacement, the water quality signal blinks approx.20 seconds.6 Turn off the faucet,and attach the cover to finishthe cartridge replacement.Place the cover along the rear of the main unit,and slide it.Set the protrusions ofthe cover intothe groovesof themain unit.
