95Dealing with Problems (Advanced)When the battery pack is used, thescreen is darker than when the ACadaptor is connectedz Press Fn+F2 and adjust the brightness. Note, however, that when thebrightness is increased, the battery running time will become shorter.Brightness can be set to separate levels for when the AC adaptor is connectedand when it is disconnected.An afterimage appears (e.g., green,red, and blue dots remain on thedisplay) or there are dots notdisplaying the correct colorsz If an image is displayed for a prolonged period of time, an afterimage mayappear. This is not a malfunction. The afterimage will disappear when adifferent screen is displayed.z High-precision and advanced technologies are necessary in the production ofcolor liquid crystal displays (color LCDs). Therefore, if 0.002% or less of thepicture elements either fail to light or remain constantly lit (that is, more than99.998% of elements are functioning properly), no defect is considered to exist.The external display no longerdisplays properlyz When an external display not compatible with the power saving mode is usedwith the computer, the display may not function correctly when the computerenters the power saving mode. In such cases, turn off the power to the externaldisplay.When you want to display the fonts oricons at a larger sizez Change the size of the icons, etc. using "Icon Enlarger" (Î page 89).During simultaneous display, one ofthe screens becomes disorderedz Try changing the display by pressing Fn+F3.z If you continue to experience problems, try changing the display destination inthe following menu.[start] - [Control Panel] - [Other Control Panel Options] - [Intel(R) ExtremeGraphics] - [Devices]z When the [Command Prompt] is set to "Full Screen" by pressing Alt + Enter,the picture is displayed on one of the screens only. When the window display isrestored by pressing Alt + Enter, the picture is displayed on both screens.When a video such as an MPEG file isbeing played with Windows ® MediaPlayer, the display destination cannotbe switched using Fn+F3z The display destination cannot be switched while a vide such as an MPEG fileis playing. Stop playing the vide before switching the display destination. Setup Utility[Enter Password] is displayed z Enter the Supervisor Password or User Password.
