41CAUTIONCAUTIONRAM modules are extremely sensitive to static electricity. There are cases wherestatic electricity generated by the human body has adversely affected such modules.In addition, it is easy to damage the RAM modules or internal components of thecomputer. Therefore, when installing or removing a RAM module, handle the mod-ule with extreme care.Installing/Removing the RAM ModuleDo not touch the terminals or internal components, insert objectsother than the module, or allow foreign particles to enter. Doing sohas been known to cause damage, fire or electric shock.RAM Module1 Power off your computer ( "Starting Up/Shutting Down")Do not shut down using the standby or hibernation mode.3 Installing the RAM moduleSlide in the module at an angle.2 Snap the module into place by pushing down on it.2 Remove the memory cover after removing the screwholding it in placeTurn the computer over and use a screwdriver to remove the screw.4 Put the cover back into place, then fasten the screwRemoving the RAM moduleOpen the left and right hooks.2 Gently remove the RAM module from the slot.Use a RAM module meeting the RAM module specifications below.
