15ADJUSTING THE AIRFLOWDIRECTION1. HorizontalThe horizontal airflow can be adjusted by moving the vertical vaneswith your hands to the left or right.When the humidity is high, the vertical vanes should be in thefront position during the cooling or dehumidifying operation. Ifthe vertical vanes are positioned all of the way to the right orleft, condensation may begin to form around the air vent anddrip down.2. VerticalThe vertical airflow can be adjusted by moving the flap with theremote controller. Do not move the flap with your hands. Confirm thatthe remote controller has been turned on. Use the FLAP button toset either the sweep function or one of the six airflow directionsettings.• The flap automatically closes when the unit is off.• During the heating operation, the fan speed will be very low and theflap will be in the horizontal position (position ) until the air beingblown out of the unit begins to warm. Once the air warms up, theflap position and fan speed change to the settings specified withthe remote controller.• Use the FLAP button on the remote controller to adjust theposition of the flap. If you move the flap by hand, the flapposition according to the remote controller and the actualflap position may no longer match. If this should happen,shut off the unit, wait for the flap to close, and then turn onthe unit again; the flap position will now be normal again.• Do not have the flap pointed down during cooling operation.Condensation may begin to form around the air vent and dripdown.OPERATION WITHOUT THEREMOTE CONTROLLERIf you have lost the remote controller or it has trouble, follow thesteps below.When the air conditioner is not runningEach time the OPERATION button is pressed, the type of operationconducted is indicated by the changing color of the OPERATIONlamp.
