Protection control13.1 Protection Control For All Operations13.1.1 Time Delay Safety Controlϥ The Compressor will not turn on within 3 minutes from the moment operation stops, although the unit is turned onagain by pressing OFF/ON button at remote control within this period.ϥ This control is not applicable if the power supply is cut off and on again.ϥ This phenomenon is to balance the pressure inside the refrigerant cycle.13.1.2 30 Seconds Forced Controlϥ Once the air conditioner is turned on, the compressor will not stop within 30 seconds in a normal operationalthough the intake air temperature has reached the thermo-off temperature. However, force stop by pressing theOFF/ON button at the remote control is permitted or the Auto OFF/ON button at indoor unit.ϥ The reason for the compressor to force operation for minimum 30 seconds is to allow the refrigerant oil run in afull cycle and return back to the outdoor unit.13.1.3 Total running current control1. If the outdoor unit total running current is detected exceeding I 1(A), the frequency instructed for compressoroperation will be decreased.2. DC Peak Current Controlϥ When electric current to IPM exceeds set value of DC17.3 1A, the compressor will stop. It will restart afterthree minutes.ϥ If the set value is exceeded again within 30 seconds, the operation will restart after one minute.ϥ If this condition repeats continuously for seven times, all indoor and outdoor relays will be cut off.ϥ Error code [F99] will be displayed.2. Overheating protection controlWhen the IPM temperature rises to 90.0к , compressor will stop immediately.Compressor restarts after three minutes if the temperature decreases to 85к13.1.5 Compressor Overheating Prevention ControlInstructed frequency for compressor operation will be regulated compressordischarge temperature.
