18.1. Twin and Triple Operation•••• Simultaneous air conditioning of wide spaces and corners ispossible. Indoor units with different horsepowers can evenbe used in combination.•••• The master unit and slave units are set automatically whenthe power is turned on. At this time, the indoor unit which isconnected to the remote control unit becomes the masterunit.(If automatic setting is not possible, carry out the settingsmanually.)•••• No distinction is made between master unit and slave units(slave unit 1 and slave unit 2) at the indoor unit or remotecontrol.•••• Install the remote control to the master unit. (It cannot beconnected to slave units.)If indoor unit models with louvres and models withoutlouvres have been connected together, use an indoor unit•••• Master unit and slave-units can be set automatically in twinand triple systems. No address setting is necessary.•••• Multiple indoor units can be operated simultaneously with asingle remote control unit. Note that individual operation isnot possible.with louvres as the master unit.•••• The remote control termostat can also be set.•••• Optional circuit boards can only be installed to the masterunit.•••• Setting the master unit and slave units can also be carriedout manually by using DIP switches. However, manualsettings will always take priority. If you have made manualsettings but would like to return to using automatic settings,set all slave unit DIP switches (refer to the table below) tothe OFF position, and then press the ADDRESS RESETbutton on the outdoor unit (SW3 on the outdoor unit printedcircuit board).(Do not mix manual settings and automatic settings.)18 TWIN AND TRIPLE18.1.1.
