ICON M ENUS O PERATION15 zENGLISHSET UP While the desired sub menu is highlighted, press VOL X toselect or activate feature. IDIOMA/LANGUE - Select to change menu languageto ENGLISH, ESPAÑOL (Spanish) or FRANÇAIS(French). MODE - This television contains a built-in decoderthat displays (Closed Captioned) text across thescreen (white or colored letters on black background).It allows the viewer to read the dialogue of a televisionprogram or other information. The program viewedmust include Closed Captioning for the feature to work.Activate the onscreen Closed Caption feature byselecting one of the following modes.• OFF - When Closed Caption is not desired.• C1 - For video related information to be displayed, up to4 lines onscreen at a time. (It does not block relevantparts of the picture). Text may be in any language.• C2 to C4 - For other modes of video related information.• T1 to T4 - For program guide and other information to bedisplayed, when available. (Blocks a large portion of thepicture on the television screen).Note: C1 mode is recommended for viewing Closed Caption. OTHER ADJ.Highlight OTHER ADJ. and press VOL X to enter sub sub-menufield.Note: While sub sub-menu features are highlighted, pressVOL X to adjust or activate.• MODE - To select TV (antenna) or CABLE modedepending on the signal source.• AUTO PROGRAM - To automatically program allchannels with a signal.• MANUAL PROGRAM - To manually add or deletechannels.• AUTO POWER ON - Select SET to power up the TV atthe same time as the Cable box or other components orselect OFF.• TILT CORRECTION - This feature is used to adjust thetilt of the picture due to earth’s magnetic field in the area.Note: Tilt Correction is not available in models CT-27HC15 andCT-27HL15.• IMAGE SHIFT - This feature prevents the imageretention associated with viewing a fixed image for along period of time. When this feature is selected (ON),the image is shifted up or down in small increments atturn ON, when changing channels or when the fixedimage is left On for a long time. Selecting ON isrecommended for this feature.Special Remote ButtonsSAP ButtonPress this button to let you cycle through different audiomodes.For example:• If receiving STEREO, SAP and MONO or receivingSTEREO and MONO only, pressing SAP button thewill toggle the audio as follows:TV/VIDEO ButtonDirect Video Input SelectionThis feature lets you select video inputs directly using theTV/VIDEO button and the numeric keys on the remotecontrol.Procedure• Press TV/VIDEO button on the remote control todisplay the Input selection menu.• Press corresponding number key on the remotecontrol to select the input of your choice.Note: Video input can also be selected by pressing the TV/VIDEO,then the CH STbuttons.ASPECT ButtonPress this button to select the desired viewing aspect (16:9 or 4:3)when receiving 480i signals from broadcast or cable input orreceiving 480p/480i signals from a STB or a DVD player.
