13RQT7540 Getting started[For]the[United]Kingdom]only[In some cases, interference (lines or patterning) or a very poorpicture may appear on the TV screen when this unit is connected.≥When connecting to a television with RF leads only(➡page 9)Follow the steps below to change the video playback channel (RFoutput channel) to remove the interference.≥When connecting to a television with a fully wired 21-pinScart lead (➡ page 7).Perform steps 1, 2 and 4 to stop the RF output. In step 2, press [0]to select “ss”.1 Press [FUNCTIONS] for more than 5seconds.2 Press [W X CH] to select a channelnumber, which differs by 2 or 3 fromthe present channel number.e.g. If the original channel number was 28, enter 31.The test pattern screen disappears.3 Re-tune your TV until you receive thetest pattern screen.If you can’t see the test pattern screen clearly, repeat step 1and 2 to select RF output channel again4 Press [ENTER] to finish this setting.This unit doesn’t recognise Video Plus+ numbers for Satellitestations or Cable TV stations.The following operation also allows you to use Video Plus+numbers to make timer recordings for satellite and cable TVstations.
