44RQT7540Convenient functionsChanging the unit’s settingsRefer to the control reference on page 38.Usually, the unit’s Preset Download or Auto-Setup function (➡ page 11, 12) automatically adjusts the clock to correct time. Under some receptionconditions, however, the unit cannot set the clock automatically.In this case, follow the operation steps below to manually set the clock.≥In the case of a power failure, the clock setting remains in memory for approximately 60 minutes.1 While stoppedPress [FUNCTIONS].2 Press [3, 4, 2, 1] to select “SETUP” and press [ENTER].3 Press [3, 4] to select the “Others” and press [1].4 Press [3, 4] to select “Clock” and press [ENTER].If a TV station transmits a time setting signal, and when “Automatic”in the Clock setting menu is set to “On”, the automatic timecorrection function checks the time and if necessary it is adjustedseveral times every day.5 Press [3, 4] to select “On” of“Automatic” and press [ENTER].Auto clock setting starts.The following screen appears when setting is complete.To stop partwayPress [RETURN].5 Press [3, 4] to select “Off” of“Automatic” and press [ENTER].6 Press [2, 1] to select the item youwant to change.The items change as follows:Hour!#Minute!#Second!#Day!#Month!#Year^-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------J7 Press [3, 4] to change the setting.You can also use the numbered buttons for setting.8 Press [ENTER] when you havefinished the settings.The clock starts.To exit the screenPress [RETURN] several times.To return to the previous screenPress [RETURN].The Child Lock deactivates all buttons on the unit and remotecontrol.
